ADMINISTRATION

(1) VOLUNTEER – DAY SHIFT:Requirements include excellent communication skills, a pleasant, outgoing and professional manner and the ability to provide assistance using patience and sensitivity. We count on volunteers to help support our strong patient-centered environment. We offer a variety of volunteer roles to fit your individual time schedule, personal goals, abilities and interests.  Volunteer needed as a greeter and in the reception area.  All volunteers must get a health clearance and pass a criminal background check as required.

 

ADMITTING  (1) PATIENT REGISTRATION SPECIALIST – VARIED SHIFT:Working knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal regulations as they apply to admissions process is preferred. Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) as they apply to admissions process is preferred. Good customer service and computer skills.  Excellent people skills and able to remain calm under pressure.  College Hospital Costa Mesa Management Assaultive Behavior (MAB) is required within 90 days of hire.

CASE MANAGEMENT (1) RN/LVN CASE MANAGER – PER DIEM, DAY SHIFT:Maintains professional license as an RN or LVN.  Must have adequate experience in a psychiatric and/or medical/surgical hospital.  Maturity, flexibility, leadership qualities, professionalism, strong clinical skills, communication skills and decision-making skills are required.

PHP

(1) CLINICAL SUPERVISOR – PER DIEM, DAY SHIFT:  Licensed Clinical Psychologist or

LCSW. Minimum of one year experience with inpatient and/or outpatient psychiatric care. Familiar with the philosophy of partial hospitalization and current Medicare standards. Ability to assess the age specific needs for severely mentally ill adult patients, ages 18+.

(2) THERAPIST – PER DIEM, DAY SHIFT:  Must be a licensed MFT, Social Worker or Psychologist or have an intern number registered with the Board of Behavioral Services or a Psych. Assistant number registered with the Board of Psychology. Prefer 2 years of clinical experience working with seriously mentally ill and/or developmentally disabled and/or substance abuse clients. Effective written and verbal communication in English. Knowledge and understanding of psychiatric diagnosis, terminology, and medical record charting basics. Good group facilitation skills and experience. Must complete CPR and MAB requirements within 90 days of hire.

NURSING ADMINISTRATION

PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER (CONTRACT): Possess and maintain graduate professional nurse, and nurse practitioner registration in CA, which must be unrestricted, current, complete, and active. Must Obtain Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner and at least 2 years in an acute care setting; LPS Designated Required within 3 months of start date; Proficient in EHR (CPSI / EVIDENT to be trained during orientation); Proficient in the English language, both in writing and speaking to be able to communicate clearly with patients, families, clinic staff and other healthcare professionals. DRIVER – PER DIEM, DAY SHIFT:Must have a 4-door vehicle. Must have a valid CA Driver License with good DMV record. Must have current, valid motor vehicle insurance with minimum coverage requirements. CPR and MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) certification must be completed within 90 days from hire. Knowledge of area roads and freeways and an understanding of vehicle performance, maintenance and safety. Flexibility, reliability, professional image and guest relations skills. Motivated to be directly involved with patients. Must be able to assist and identify the needs of patients during transportation.

NURSING DEPARTMENTS (MEDSURG, PSYCHIATRIC, SPECIAL PROCEDURES

STAFF RN – FULL TIME, DAY & NOC SHIFT (ADULT UNIT): Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of California.  Ability to assess the age specific needs of the patients per unit population.  BCLS required.  Management Assaultive Behavior (MAB) is required within 90 days of hire.

MENTAL HEALTH WORKER – PER DIEM: High school diploma or equivalent or experience in mental health setting preferred.  Motivated to be directly involved with patients.  Effective verbal and written communication in English.  BCLS required.  Management Assaultive Behavior (MAB) is required within 90 days of hire.

FOR ALL SHIFTS ON ALL UNITS***

PROGRAM

(1) DUAL DIAGNOSIS COUNSELOR – PER DIEM, DAY SHIFT:Graduation from a state licensed program for Alcohol and Drug Counseling Studies desirable or 5 years progressive responsibility and experience in the drug and alcohol field preferred. Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) preferred or Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor (CATC) preferred.

 

SECURITY   SECURITY GUARD- VARIED SHIFT: One year experience as an on-site Security Officer preferred. Knowledge of general security functions and legal limitations. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills in English. Basic skills in physical restraint and self-defense. Current CA Guard card. Must complete CPR and MAB requirements within 90 days of hire.

SOCIAL SERVICES

SOCIAL WORKER – PER DIEM, DAY SHIFT:  Masters in social work or related field with social work training and experience.Maturity, flexibility, leadership qualities, professionalism, and strong clinical skills required.

 

Management Assaultive Behavior (MAB) is required within 90 days of hire for all clinical positions.
